Window Repair Workshop with Austin Historical

Join us for a one-day, hands-on workshop on the care and repair of historic wood windows, led by the expert craftspeople of Austin Historical. Participants will learn preservation-minded techniques including paint removal, epoxy repairs, glass cutting, and traditional glazing, while working directly with tools and materials at Austin Historical’s warehouse on 203 Deptford Street.
The Seven Ladies Exhibition Opening

Join us on May 14, 2026 at the Murray C. Perlman & Wayne C. Spear Preservation Center for the opening of The Seven Ladies, a new exhibition honoring the women who founded Historic Savannah Foundation and reshaped Savannah’s physical and civic landscape.
Special Walking Tour: Exploring HSF’s Early Saves
Saturday, May 16 at 10:00 am. This tour will meet in Washington Square and will be 1.5 – 2 hours.

Join HSF’s Education and Research Associate Kendall Graham for a walk through Savannah’s early preservation history! This special tour, in honor of Preservation Month, will showcase some of the homes saved by HSF after the Davenport House. Follow in the footsteps of these early preservation success stories, learn the history of HSF’s Revolving Fund and why it still matters today, and hear lesser-know historical anecdotes about our city’s buildings and residents.

Join Robin B. Williams, professor and Chair of the Architectural History Department at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and HSF for an exclusive walking tour of Ardsley Park and Chatham Crescent on Saturday, May 30th at 9:00 am. This special tour will provide an in-depth look at the many architecturally significant homes in the Ardsley Park/Chatham Crescent Historic District, which boasts houses dating from 1910 through the 1930s, and will also inform about the neighborhoods’ conception and unique urban planning, design, and landscape features.
