Gala
Many thanks to our 2013 Gala Grand Sponsor:

One of our community’s most loved events; simply known as “The Gala.” Each year, a venue is selected for its preservation and historic relevance; the public announcement of which is greatly anticipated. Begin the evening with cocktail parties hosted in nearby private homes and continue with fine dining, dancing, and an After Glow Party. Make this a “don’t miss” on your October calendar!
2013 Gala
Date: Saturday, October 19, 2013
Location: Bethesda Academy
ABOUT BETHESDA ACADEMY: Founded in 1740 as an orphanage by Rev. George Whitefield, Bethesda is the oldest child caring institute in America. Many of the country’s founding fathers visited Bethesda and one of its earliest supporters was Benjamin Franklin.
While Bethesda has not operated as an orphanage for many years, the organization’s commitment to the needs of boys continues. Today, Bethesda Academy is a successful private boarding and day school for young men – still emphasizing the values established by Rev. Whitefield more than 270 years ago: a love of God, a love of learning, and a strong work ethic. Located on a 650-acre campus, the school serves students in grades 6-12. Beyond traditional curriculum, Bethesda also offers a wildlife management program, an on-site video production studio, an organic farming program, and a nationally ranked chess team. Bethesda is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and features a wide range of academic, athletic, vocational and spiritual development opportunities.
