Special Events
During the year, HSF holds multiple special events that serve as fundraisers and provide an opportunity to educate the community about preservation. Our special events are a vital part of our annual budget and we deeply appreciate our members, volunteers and participants!
On the last Saturday of February, participants of the Seacrest Partners Race for Preservation 10k/5k run or walk through 5 historic districts: Savannah Distoric Landmark District, Victorian District, Thomas Square Streetcar District, Ardsley Park/Chatham Crescent District, and Daffin Park/Parkside District. The race has become a popular way for people to tour a few of the historic districts and appreciate the impact of preservation.
The Savannah Annual Tour of Homes and Gardens represents a partnership that has opened the doors of countless homes and gardens to countless visitors. This multi-day gives people the opportunity to tour private homes and hidden gardens throughout the Savannah Historic Landmark District. Each day features different tours, events, and lectures.
For 20 years, The HSF Gala has been one of the most popular fall events. Each year, the Gala chairman selects a venue for its asthetics and its historical significance. The change in location adds great excitement and anticipation to the event! After enjoying cocktails in different private homes near the Gala venue, guests arrive at the Gala site for dinner and dancing. This should be a “don’t miss” on your October calendar!
Please check each of the event pages for more information and dates. We hope to see you soon!
