Benedictine Military School Lecture by Robert Ciucevich preceded by HSF Reception

Learn about architectural uniqueness in the south and how the post World War II building boom and the modern architecture movement impacted the Benedictines’ building plans during a FREE historic preservation lecture. The lecture, “Benedictine Military School and Priory: a Modernist Landmark in the Pine Forest of Southside Savannah,” is Tuesday, April 5, 7PM at Benedictine Military School’s (BC) 6502 Seawright Drive campus. Civil War Savannah Lecture, Book Signing To Kick Off Historic Savannah Foundation 2011 Lecture Series on February 24

WHAT: Civil War Savannah lecture and book signing. Local authors Barry Sheehy, Cindy Wallace and Vaughnette Goode‐Walker will discuss Savannah’s Civil War history and sign copies of their landmark new four-book series titled Civil War Savannah. Free and open to the public.

Historic Savannah Foundation’s 55th Annual Meeting

SAVANNAH, GA – Historic Savannah Foundation is proud to hold its 55th Annual Meeting this year. Set for Thursday September 30th, 2010 we will be celebrating the views from the rooftop of the Georgia Power Building on the river, with a reception beginning at 6 p.m. The meeting will start at 6:45 p.m. with a report on the 2010 fiscal year, followed by featured speaker, Dana Beach of the South Carolina Coastal Conservation League. read more…
