SAVANNAH, Ga. – Historic Savannah Foundation, a leading preservation organization committed to protecting Savannah’s heritage, honored Holley Jaakkola as the Nichola Parker Coe Volunteer Award winner at the 2011 HSF Preservation Awards, which were held yesterday at the Old Pink House in Savannah.

Each year, the Historic Savannah Foundation presents the Nichola Parker Coe Volunteer Award to a single volunteer who exemplifies dedication and commitment to the preservation mission upon which the Historic Savannah Foundation was founded.

Historic Savannah Foundation Announces 2011 Preservation Award Winners

SAVANNAH, Ga. Historic Savannah Foundation, a leading preservation organization committed to protecting Savannah’s heritage, has officially announced the winners of the 2011 Preservation Awards, which recognize individuals and organizations demonstrating excellence in historic preservation. Ten awards were presented at a Preservation Award Luncheon held earlier today at the Olde Pink House in Savannah.

Historic Savannah Foundation Preservation Awards recognize outstanding local projects completed within the last three years. These juried awards are judged for the success they have achieved in the preservation, rehabilitation, restoration and interpretation of architectural and cultural heritage. The general evaluation criteria include quality, degree of difficulty and the ultimate positive impact the project has on the surrounding community. read more…
